After a weekend of sun, mostly cloudy skies with rain showers are in the forecast to begin the week in Washington.

According to the National Weather Service, the average temperature the first week of May has been 50.1 degrees, below the normal 57.2 degrees. Precipitation has also been below normal at three-quarters of an inch, while 1.1 inches is normal. Up to 1.5 inches of precipitation are expected over the next four days, with high temperatures in the low 70’s. There’s a chance for thunderstorms. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
