The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams are on the course for their final River Valley Conference dual of 2017 tonight.
The Mid-Prairie girls host the Durant Wildcats at the Kalona Golf Course. The Golden Hawks are coming off of a loss Thursday to West Liberty by two strokes that saw them shoot their second best team round of the year at 207, led by a career best 41 from Paige Slabaugh. On the season Mid-Prairie’s nine hole average score stands at 220. The Hawks welcome the Durant Wildcats to town. Durant has a team average of 236, led by Paige McKee and her 53 average per nine holes.
The Mid-Prairie boys enter action off of a 184-203 win over the West Liberty Comets on the road Thursday. The Hawks were led by Collin Gingerich’s 43. On the season Mid-Prairie’s nine hole average stands at 185 with Duncan McCain leading the way averaging a 43 per nine holes. Hosting the Golden Hawks tonight, West Liberty enters play with a 207 average on the season, led by Austin Beaver’s 45 average.
Action begins at both locations tonight at 4p.m.
