Overnight temperatures dropped down to 37 degrees last night. Temperatures to start the month of May have been below normal locally. Overnight Tuesday a frost advisory was issued for Johnson and Iowa Counties. According to the National Weather Service, in Washington the average temperature to begin May is usually 56.6 degrees, however it’s only been 45.8 degrees. The average high temperature to begin the month is usually just under 70 degrees at 68.6 degrees, but this year it’s been observed at 53.7 degrees.
Temperatures are expected to see highs at about 66 degrees through the weekend with partly sunny skies. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
