The final Science Saturdays Bookclub will meet at the Washington Public Library this month. Survival is the theme of the discussion for this session. Debbie Stanton, director of the library, shares the group is reading the book “The Survivors Club: Secrets & Science that Could Save Your Life” by Ben Sherwood. Stanton explains the book covers a variety of topics, from tips on how to survive a plane crash, to overcoming cancer, or other difficult life situations. There are still copies of the book available and it is open to anyone. Stanton adds, the program was funded through a grant, so the first 10 participants receive a free copy of the book to keep. The discussion will be held at 10 a.m. the last Saturday of the month.
