Drought conditions in Iowa lessened slightly from last week to this week. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, approximately 17.66% of Iowa is abnormally dry, down from 18.02% last week. The rate of moderate drought remained unchanged at 5.67%, which includes the southwest corners of Keokuk and Jefferson Counties. Washington, Louisa, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk and the southern portion of Johnson County are abnormally dry.
