Two local women have been organizing, collecting, and transporting fencing, feed, milk replacement and more to farmers in Kansas who are recovering from devastating wildfires. Carol Horning says last week they took about $12,000 worth of fencing on the 12 hour trip to Kansas. She adds every little bit helps those who need it.
Megan Coakley says right now they’re collecting monetary donations to get a semi-load of fencing sent to Kansas directly from Georgia. They were able to purchase it at cost. The goal is to raise $10,000 and they’re just over halfway to the goal. Donations can be taken to Washington State Bank and deposited in the Kansas Relief Fund.
