The playoff run for the Washington Demon boys basketball team (7-14) was short-lived. As heard live on KCII FM 106.1 and KCIIRadio.com, the Demons opened the Class 3A District 12 tournament against the Oskaloosa Indians (14-8). The Indians started the game on a 9-0 run on their way to a 81-46 victory. Oskaloosa led 21-9 after the first quarter and 45-21 at halftime.

Four Oskaloosa players scored in double figures. Spencer Tucker scored a game-high 20 points. Cole Henry and Xavier Foster added 13 points each while Jack Moore contributed 12. Dalton Myers led Washington with 14 points. Mason Rich recorded 11 in his final high school basketball game.

The Washington boys basketball season closes with a record of 7-14 overall. The Demons lose Rich, Tanner Coleman, Bryce Sinn, and John Dillon to graduation.
