Wednesday morning when people woke up and got ready for the day, as they looked out the window they found a fresh blanket of snow had fallen across the area. Snow fell across the area late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with approximately three inches recorded in Washington. According to a trained weather spotter, Wellman received 1.5 inches of snow and Columbus Junction had 1.2 inches.

Any lingering snow will likely be gone Friday when temperatures are expected to rise to 53 degrees and stay in the high 40’s to low 50’s through the weekend. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
