The city’s plan for future improvements will be discussed at tonight’s Washington City Council meeting. The proposed plan looks ahead to fiscal year 2021. In the next two years it includes water plant upgrades and improvements at the airport, as well as watermain replacement, constructing a fire station for nearly $2.5 million, a $1.3 million inflow and infiltration project, and $1.5 million for the Wellness Park. The plan not only lists projects, but how they’ll be funded. Tonight, council will also consider lead soil removal at the old water tower site, a resolution accepting Well #7 pump installation as complete and an agreement with the department of transportation for maintenance and repair of primary roads. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in council chambers.
