The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team hosts their second home meet of the year tonight when they welcome West Branch and North Cedar to Tim Grady Gymnasium for a River Valley Conference Triangular.
Mid-Prairie comes into the night with a 1-2 dual record on the year, with losses to Wapello and Eddyville-Blakesburg and a win over English Valleys. Mid-Prairie was in action at Saturday’s Jeremy Fulk Classic at New London and had three champions with Duncan McCain at 132, Visouth Peterschmidt at 195 and Jason Tew at 220 all taking home titles. McCain is currently ranked eighth in the state at 132lbs and Peterschmidt is fifth at 195.
North Cedar enters tonight with a 1-3 dual record. The Knights have beaten BGM and lost to Cascade, Don Bosco and Monticello so far this year. The Knights do not have anyone ranked in their lineup.
West Branch comes into tonight with a 1-3 dual record. The Bears have beaten Lone Tree and lost to Tipton, West Liberty and Davenport North. The Bears do not have anyone ranked in their lineup.
Action will begin tonight at 6PM in Wellman.
