Three members of the Sigourney-Keota wrestling team are beginning their season as ranked wrestlers. The website, iawrestle.com, released their preseason rankings and Luke House, Kaleb Reeves and Noah Boender are all in the top 10 in Class 1A in their respective weight classes.

Reeves received the highest preseason praise after being ranked fourth at 195 pounds. He won 44 matches at 182 pounds last season. House (126) and Boender (220) are both ranked 10th in their weight classes. House won 29 matches at 113 pounds. Boender earned 47 match victories in 52 grapples last season at 195 pounds. All three competed at the 2016 Iowa High School Individual State Wrestling Tournament but didn’t advance past the first day.

Sigourney-Keota’s new season begins tonight in a South Iowa Cedar League quadrangular against English Valleys, B.G.M, and H.L.V. First grapples are set for 6 p.m. at Sigourney High School.
