Downtown Washington will kick off holiday celebrations with the annual Twilight Shop and Stroll. The KCII Big Red Radio will be there with Christmas music while downtown businesses have special sales from 5-8 p.m. Main Street Washington director Sarah Grunewaldt says there are 11 businesses participating and it’s a nice, relaxed event. She adds it’s a nice chance to get some gift shopping done early and have it out of the way. Also, Grunewaldt tells KCII that for every dollar spent locally 72 cents of it stays in the community.
