The sound of bowling pins dropping can be heard three mornings a week at Lebowski’s Rock ‘N’ Bowl. This marks the second season the Washington Demon bowling team has held morning practice sessions. Starting last week, students have been on the lanes Tuesday through Thursday from 5:45 to 7:15 a.m.
Washington bowling coaches Sally Reighard, Deb Tisor, and Chad Zear are guests on this week’s PM Sports Page and spoke about the practice time change. Tisor has been surprised by how engaged the students are in practice, stating they are talkative throughout the hour and a half. Colin Zear, a first team all-conference bowler a season ago, feels morning practices have been more productive for him. He adds, he’s able to give 100 percent effort in the mornings.. Kolton Segebart adds the morning practice sessions have made it easier for the bowlers to have after school jobs as well.
The new season of Washington Demon bowling is set to begin on Wednesday, December 7, against Sigourney at Lebowski’s Rock ‘N’ Bowl.
