A multiple vehicle accident west of Kalona Wednesday afternoon blocked part of Highway 22. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 1:28 p.m. the four car collision with no injuries occurred on Highway 22 near Larch Avenue. The eastbound lane of the highway was blocked. The drivers involved were Caitlyn Riggan of Washington, Dominick Pickard of Kalona, Graces Mattes, and Ryan Miller of Riverside. Miller was cited for passing on the wrong side of the roadway. Kalona QRS and Kalona Fire Department assisted at the scene.
