The Highland School Board will be convening Monday, and one of the items on the agenda involves a modified allowable growth request. The Iowa School Budget Review Committee allows schools to apply for modified allowable growth to help them increase enrollment, open enrollment out, and limited English proficient program instruction beyond five years, and Highland will discuss submitting their application. The certified enrollment was 629.3 students. Other items on the agenda include discussion on the continuation of the district’s mowing agreement, an official depository change, and memorial gifts. The meeting is open to the public and starts at 6 p.m. in the Highland High School board room.
