Nearly one third of registered voters in Washington County have already voted in Tuesday’s general election. Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer says there are approximately 15,000 registered voters in the county and as of 1 p.m. Friday afternoon about 4,300 people had voted early. Some people voted early in person at the courthouse while others voted by mail. In 2008 about 3,000 absentee ballots were cast in Washington County and four years ago there were 5,000 approximately.
