KCII’s 14th Annual Caring Christmas food drive begins this week. KCII General Manager Joe Nichols says he feels it’s important to give back to our area communities. The items will be collected through December and donated in January, to help area pantries restock their shelves after the busy holiday season. In addition to food, non-perishable items like tooth paste and deodorant are accepted.

The Big Red Radio will be out and about this November and December to help collect food to donate to area pantries. The first stop will be Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Washington Hy-Vee. Items can also be dropped off at participating businesses or the KCII studios at 110 East Main Street.
