Voters in Washington County will have a handful of contested races on their ballots Tuesday. Two Washington County Board of Supervisor races are contested. Republican Bob Yoder is seeking re-election for the District 2 seat and is challenged by Independent Stuart Yoder. Also, Republican incumbent Stan Stoops is challenged by Democrat Kimberly Davis for the District 4 seat.
At the state level, Washington and Keokuk county voters will weigh in on the race between incumbent Republican Jarad Klein and Libertarian Joshua Miller for House District 78. House District 84 also has a race between incumbent Republican Dave Heaton and Democrat Carrie Duncan. Senate District 42, which includes a few precincts of Washington County and territory in Henry, Jefferson and Lee counties, has incumbent Democrat Rich Taylor challenged by Republican Danny Graber.

Early voting is still available at the Washington County Courthouse today. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
