A car and a combine collided near Riverside Sunday evening. According to the Washington County Communications office, at 6:32 p.m. the collision happened at 130th Street and Highway 218. One lane of the highway was blocked. Washington County Ambulance transported one person to the University of Iowa hospital. Doyle Gingerich of Brighton and Stephen Norman of Washington were the two drivers involved. Riverside Fire Department, Riverside QRS, Washington County Sheriff’s personnel and Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene.
