The Clear Creek Amana football team had one of its best seasons in school history in 2016, aided by contributions from students at Iowa Mennonite School.

IMS currently has a sharing agreement for a football program with CCA. Drake Brezina was the Clippers third leading rusher on the season with 284 yards on 34 carries with two touchdowns, despite only appearing in two games due to injury.

Isaiah Swantz played defense for the Clippers and had a tackle this season in varsity action. Other IMS students who participated in CCA football this year were Isaac Miller, Maleki Lockett and Drew Blauvelt. The Clippers finished the year with a 7-2 overall record.
