Residents of the City of Washington will have a chance to get rid of unwanted items during the city’s fall clean up event this month. The clean up event will run similarly to how it did last year, where residents can drop off items at a central site. It will be held October 28th from 4-7 p.m. and October 29th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. General junk, concrete, and construction materials will be accepted at no cost, couches and mattresses will be $6, appliances $5, and electronics $15. Household hazardous waste won’t be accepted, neither will tires, waste oil or latex paint. Stickers for items can be purchased at City Hall.
