Fall Fashion Week in downtown Washington is wrapping up and culminates Saturday with a style show. Main Street Washington is organizing the event with downtown businesses who have new things for your closet and your home. Sarah Grunewaldt, director of Main Street Washington, says, it’s fun to see what the new trends are and what the businesses bring to our community. Throughout the week, sneak peeks of what the different shops have to offer have been appearing on social media. You can check the photos out at Main Street Washington’s Facebook page.

Grunewaldt adds it’s important to shop local, with 72 cents of every dollar spent staying in the community to help fund schools and fire departments and build roads. However, for every dollar that is spent out of town or online only about 30 cents comes back to the local community.

The style show will be held with brunch at Cafe Dodici Saturday, tickets can be purchased at the Main Street Washington office. For more information listen to the Washington Page about Fashion Week in Washington here.
