The first half of real estate and mobile home taxes must be paid by the end of September. Washington County Treasurer Jeff Garrett reminds property owners that the first half of these taxes were due September 1st and must be paid by September 30th to avoid a penalty. Beginning October 1st, a penalty of 1.5% per month will be added on with a $1 minimum per parcel. When making payments statement coupons must be attached.

Payments can be made in person at the treasurer’s office, mailed or placed in the drop box at the west entrance of the Washington County Courthouse. You can also pay online. The treasurer’s office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
