Iowa Mennonite School senior Alijah Beatty just finished up a busy summer on the cycling circuit.
Highlights of her racing this summer include winning the women’s cat 2-3 criterion at Snake Alley in Burlington, Melon City in Muscatine and the Quad Cities criterion. Beatty also took her talents north of the border, winning the stage road race and criterion at the Tour of Rimouski in Quebec, Canada. Beatty was also won the National championship in the women’s 17-18 year old division of the scratch race in Trexlertown, Pennsylviania. Since march she has competed in more than 38 races and was selected to attend a USA Cycling women’s talent ID camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs during August.
