The Mid-Prairie football team opened practice Monday at Mid-Prairie High School.

The Golden Hawks had an unofficial kickoff to the practice season last week with their camp for fifth through 12th graders. Mid-Prairie head coach Pete Cavanagh described camp in the early season as technique and fundamental work while progress is made toward putting in the base plays on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

Mid-Prairie will open up the season Friday, August 26th, hosting Louisa-Muscatine.
