Another Washington alum will be helping coach the high school football team this fall. Nic Williams, a 2010 Demon graduate, finished up his college football career at Missouri Western State University last November and will assist Don Miksch in coaching Washington’s offensive line unit.
Williams spoke with KCII Sports about joining the Washington coaching staff and says one of his main goals is to help teach the Demon lineman skills needed to play football at the collegiate level. He says a handful of players have already talked to him about the possibility of playing college football.
Williams is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Kelly Williams, who played college football for Northwest Missouri State University from 2001-2005. A 1999 graduate of Washington, Kelly Williams is entering his second season as the Demons’ running back and defensive back coach.
The Washington Demon football team kicks off the 2016 season on August 26, traveling to Albia for a non-conference matchup versus the Blue Demons. Listen to KCII all season for live play-by-play coverage of Demon football.
