Washington’s Sarah Nacos continues to spend part of her summer competing in the girls’ 16-18-year-old division of the Iowa Junior PGA Tour. Nacos has competed in two tour events since finishing seventh overall in the 41st Annual Iowa Junior PGA Tour on July 5-6.

Nacos’ fifth tour meet of the summer took her to the Jones Park Golf Course for the Iowa PGA Cedar Rapids Junior event on July 13. Nacos won the four-person event, carding an 18-hole round of 6 over 75.

Nacos’ latest event took place last week at the Otter Creek Golf Course in Tama for the Junior Tour Mid-Summer Classic. She placed third, carding at 10 over 81. Mason City’s Sydney Eaton won the event, carding a 5 over 76.

In June, Nacos claimed back-to-back Class 4A individual state titles for Len Kull and the Washington Demon girls’ golf team. The Demon girls’ golf team also won back-to-back state titles.
