The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball team will take to the road tonight to open the class 3A playoffs with a trip to Albia.

The Golden Hawks enter tonight with an overall record of 12-22. In their last action they dropped a pair of games over the weekend in the Golden Hawk Invite to New London and Central DeWitt. The Hawks are led on the year by Alex Rath and Amber Kral who are both hitting .500. In the circle Cassidy Rourke has thrown 104 innings with an overall record of 10-8. She has a 3.76 ERA.

The Lady Dees come into tonight with an overall record of 17-13. In their last game Albia bested Grinnell by a 3-1 score. Hannah Isley leads Albia at the plate this year, hitting .393. In the circle eighth grader Jena Lawrence has gotten the majority of work, throwing 155 innings with a 15-10 overall record. She sports an ERA of 2.44.
