The Iowa Mennonite softball team made it four straight wins Tuesday at Winfield, knocking off the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves by a 13-1 score in four innings.

In a game heard on AM and FM KCII, it was the Wolves who got the early lead with run in the first when Naya Silva singled home Hannah Matthews. Iowa Mennonite responded with three runs on four hits in the second inning and put together a six run, 11 batter inning in the third to take control of the game with a 9-1 lead. IMS would add four more runs in the fourth. With a 13-1 lead Hannah Harris closed down the Wolves in the circle and ended the game early.

Harris got the win in the circle she went four innings, gave up four hits, one run, walked one and struck out one. Ana Schure took the loss for WMU, she went an inning and a third, giving up six hits, nine runs, walking three and striking out one. At the plate seven of the nine batters in the lineup scored in the game. Suzanna Yoder and Rachel Miller each had three hits and drove in three. With the win IMS is now 6-8 on the season. WMU was led at the plate by Silva with one hit and an RBI. The Wolves are now 1-13 on the year.
