The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team pounded English Valleys Saturday, beating the Bears 11-0 in six innings on the strength of a no-hitter by freshman Jacob Leonard.

Mid-Prairie scored once in the first, five times in the second, once again in the fourth and twice each in the fifth and sixth innings. That was all of the offense that Leonard would need as he went all six innings without allowing a hit and striking out five in the game. Adam Schrock, Braeden Nielson and Keaton Duwa were all three for four at the plate with a pair of RBI. With the win, Mid-Prairie is now 8-11 on the year and will next be in action tonight when they travel to Bellevue.
