It took an extra day but the Mid-Prairie baseball team enjoyed another conference win in the early season, downing North Cedar 12-5.
The two teams began the contest on Tuesday night but had the proceedings stopped in the second inning due to inclement weather. When the game resumed on Wednesday, Mid-Prairie brought the lumber knocking around the Knight’s pitching staff for a dozen runs in a 12-5 victory. Keaton Duwa had a big night, going three for four at the plate and driving in four while Adam Schrock took care of business on the hill, going four innings of relief and striking out seven to preserve the win. With the victory Mid-Prairie is now 4-1 on the young season and will travel to Monticello tonight.
