The Lake Darling Youth Camp needs a new roof for their main lodge, and thanks to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation, it just got a little easier. At the grant presentation on Wednesday, the WCRF awarded the Youth Center $13,036 towards their roof project. WCRF President Mike Driscoll said with over 1,400 people using the camp each year, they felt it was important to help with building upkeep. The Lake Darling Youth Camp, which began in 1950, hosts a variety of camps from Bible camps to Camp REECE, which offers outdoor experiences to persons with disabilities.
