The Iowa Mennonite boys soccer team hosted the West Liberty Comets Saturday morning in a makeup soccer match on the campus of Iowa Mennonite School.
West Liberty came out and made a statement early, scoring four times in the game’s first 25 minutes and adding two more insurance goals late in the half to take a 6-0 lead into the halftime break. IMS settled in defensively in the second half but had a hard time getting anything going in the offensive end, leading to a 6-0 loss.
With the loss, IMS is now 5-7 overall and 5-3 in the Southeast Iowa Superconference.
