With a nod to the summer Olympics, this year’s themes for summer reading programs at the Washington Public Library are focused on fitness. Children’s librarian Jenisa Harris shares kindergarten through fifth grade students will also have a chance to win a bicycle if they read 500 minutes or more. Librarian Leann Kunz explains there will be a class to teach students how to make healthy food in the microwave and there will be a variety of programs from yoga to zentangles for adults.
