Twenty-four members of the Mid-Prairie chapter of FFA attended the Iowa FFA Leadership conference in Ames.

Several chapter representatives participated in judged Career Development Events and received recognition. Greta Schmidt received a gold and second place awards with her Reporter’s Scrapbook. Creigh Rourke and Avery Kron received a gold rating in poultry judging. Makenzie Fay and Lindsey Palmer also received a gold rating for their Chapter Display of the Mid-Prairie Dance Marthon. Cassidy Rourke received a silver rating for Creed Speaking. Dallas Miller and Abby Statler received a silver rating in the Greenhand Test category. Shae Becker, Brent Foster, Katie Frantz and Wyatt Stumpf all received a silver rating in the Ag Sales skills competition.

In other activities Becker, Hunter Eden, Becca Frantz, Rhett Leonard and Miller took part in the State Courtesy Corp. Schmidt and Bella Sexton served as Mid-Prairie’s chapter delegates in voting for the new state office team. Schmidt also served on the state Program of Activities committee. Leonard was a member of the Nominating Committee that selected the State Officer Candidates. Kitty Conway, David Murray, Quinn Schmidt and Eli VanRoekel all participated as members of the FFA Chorus.
