The Mid-Prairie boys soccer team dropped a match Monday to No. 10 in class 1A Danville 3-1.

The Bears jumped on top early, taking a 2-0 lead into the halftime break. Danville added an insurance goal midway through the second half to push the advantage to 3-0. In total the Bears got two goals from Kole Perkins and one from Mason Lorber. The Golden Hawks got on the board in the 68th minute when Ricky Vargas beat the Danville keeper to find the back of the net but in the end it wasn’t enough for the Golden Hawks. With the loss Mid-Prairie falls to 2-6 on the year. The Golden Hawks will next be in action Thursday when they travel to Cedar Valley Christian.
