A group that works to help the victims of domestic abuse in Washington County is holding a fundraiser in Washington today. The Washington County Domestic Violence Coalition helps collect clothes clothes, toys, and more for those who are victims of domestic abuse. President of the Coalition Brad Koenig explains they try to help people get their lives back on track. Koenig also works with the Domestic Violence Intervention Program, which has free and confidential services that help victims navigate the legal system and find a safe place to live.

Today’s fundraiser is a bake sale from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Washington Wal-Mart. There is a 24-hour crisis phone line available and anyone needing help is encouraged to call 1-800-373-1043.
