An African children’s choir comprised of orphans from Uganda will perform in Washington this week. The Watoto Children’s Choir has a motto of “Rescue. Raise. Rebuild.” The choir will perform at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington Thursday. Pastor Maureen Howard explains they transform the sanctuary and perform songs and dance in traditional African costumes. The children are raised and receive an education and then become leaders in Uganda.

The performance will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend the concert. It is recommended that those attending arrive early.
