Three Iowa Mennonite School students participated in the Coe College Honor Band Festival held in Cedar Rapids Sunday, April 10th. Micah Miller, Rubye Ney and Jared Schlabaugh were all chosen. Selection to the honor band was done with school director nominations. Once a student was nominated, a selection committee evaluated all nominations and chose students based on the provided information. Approximately 115 students were chosen for the Senior Honor Band, directed by Dr. William Carson of Coe College. The group rehearsed from April 3rd through the 10th. The festival concluded with a performance by the entire ensemble.
