An open house next weekend will highlight the renovations made to the old school house building on the Washington County Fairgrounds. The Green Acres 4-H Club collaborated with volunteers last fall to apply new paint to the interior of the building. The old school sits on the county fairgrounds and is a combination of two county schools that were moved there several years ago. An open house is scheduled for April 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds during the 4-H County Council Open Cattle Show.
The Washington County Cattlemen will be grilling hamburgers and the 4-H County Council will be on hand to serve walking tacos and baked goods. The profits from the food stand will be used for continued updates to the school.
