The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved increases for wages for the county’s elected officials at their meeting this week. The increases were recommended by the Washington County Compensation Board which meets annually to consider salaries for the elected officials. For the auditor, recorder, treasurer and county supervisors a 2% increase was approved. The county attorney and sheriff received an increase of 3.334%. Also, a stipend for the board of supervisor chair was approved at $1,500. The increases will go into effect at the start of Fiscal Year 2016-17.
