The WACO Warrior boys basketball team was recently recognized by the Southeast Iowa Superconference, placing three players on all-conference squads.
Junior Jackson Roth was a second team all-SEISC selection. Roth led the Warriors in scoring at 12 points per game. He was also the team leader with 60 assists. His 68 steals were best on the WACO team and third best in the conference.
Senior Duncan Pickard was an honorable mention all-conference selection. Pickard averaged 11 points per game for the Warriors. His 131 rebounds were second on the Warriors on seventh best in the conference.
Senior Bryce Achen was an honorable mention all-SEISC selection. Achen averaged eight points per game last year. He led the Warriors on the glass pulling in 177 rebounds, fourth best in the Superconference.
WACO finished the season 5-19 overall. The Warriors were knocked out of the playoffs in the second round of districts, falling to eventual state qualifier Danville 63-47.
