Drought conditions in Iowa are better now than they were a year ago. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, none of Iowa is experiencing drought conditions at this time, while last February nearly eight percent of the state was abnormally dry. Currently, Minnesota is the only state in the Midwest with drought conditions and our neighbors to the north have 5.74 percent of their state abnormally dry.

California continues to battle drought conditions with 99.57 of the state experiencing drought conditions and 38.48 percent of the state in exceptional drought, the most severe category.
