The Lone Tree Lady Lion basketball team is back on the floor Tuesday night looking to continue their run in the postseason.

The Lady Lions enter tonight’s regional quarterfinal with an overall record of 15-7. Lone Tree rolled through the first round of regionals last week, beating Iowa Mennonite 62-27. The Lady Lions were led by Madison Forbes and her 18 points. Morgyn Edwards had 12 and Elena Sieverding 11 in the win. On the season Lone Tree is led by Forbes at 13 points per game, eight best in the Superconference North Division. Derik Chandler holds the team lead with 45 assists while Maryssa Grover has pulled down 127 rebounds, most on the team.

Easton Valley enters tonight’s game with a 14-8 overall record, the River Hawks were champions of the Tri-Rivers East Conference with their 9-1 mark in league play. In their first game Easton Valley got by Midland of Wyoming in a defensive battle 34-25, Sadie Zaruba led the River Hawks with 12 points and 10 rebounds. On the season Lexi Theisen leads the River Hawks in scoring at 15 points per game, fourth best in the Tri-Rivers East. Theisen also holds the team lead and is second in the conference with 67 assists. Sadie Zaruba is the leading rebounder for the River Hawks and in the conference, pulling down 234 boards on the season.
