In January, it was announced Washington will be an overnight stop in the 43rd annual edition of RAGBRAI. The 420 mile ride will arrive in Washington on July 29th with thousands of riders expected to stay overnight. The Washington County Conservation Board spoke about the event at their Thursday meeting and the message was the board stands ready to serve. Steve Anderson Executive Director of Washington County Conservation says, the board is committed to helping with the existing committees for the event and looks forward to making the event a success for Washington.

Event organizers are asking those interested in volunteering for RAGBRAI preparations to provide their information on the sign-up sheet on the RAGBRAI Washington 2016 Facebook page.
