Free tree pick up is underway in Washington. City staff is now picking up discarded Christmas trees placed on corners in town. The last round of tree pick up will be done by January 11th. Residents are reminded to not place trees on the same corners as fire hydrants and this is not for artificial trees.

Residents can also throw out trees by placing them in the barricaded section of Central Park across from the library. Also, the Waste Water Treatment Plant will accept the trees. Residents are reminded to clean any metal and decorations off before discarding them.
