The highest unemployment rate in November was in southeast Iowa, and was more than double Washington county’s rate. According to Iowa Workforce Development, Lee County had 5.1 percent unemployment while Washington County had 2.3 percent unemployment rate. Johnson and Keokuk counties also had unemployment rates below three percent during the month of November.
