A recent graduate of Sigourney Community Schools is continuing to have a productive volleyball career in college. Marshalltown Community College freshman Jordan Carter was named a National Junior College Athletic Associations’s All-Region XI first team player, one of seven athletes to earn the honor.
In her inaugural collegiate season, Carter led the Tigers with 269 kills, an average of 2.86 kills per set. She had 15 matches where she recorded double-digit kills, including a career-high 19 kills on three separate occasion’s this season.
She also posted 30 service aces, second most on team.
Carter was named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Sept 9, posting 29 total kills and also recorded 52 digs in setbacks to Kirkwood Community College, Iowa Lakes Community College, and Grinnell College to begin the season.
The 2015 Tigers volleyball season ended with an overall record of 4-21.
