Washington County Sheriff’s deputies and jail staff are taking part in “No Shave November” to raise money for a local non-profit. This is the third year the department has held the month-long event. The law enforcement officials are able to violate the sheriff’s policy on facial hair and not shave this month for the fundraiser. Staff who participate are raising money by collecting donations for Hospice of Washington County.

Over the past two Novembers, they have donated just over $4,000 to the non-profit organization. Those who would like to contribute may do so by contacting a participating member or by going to the Sheriff’s Office during normal business hours.
