Basic Animal training or BART, is being held this weekend for first responders. The training is being held both today and tomorrow at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, ISU Extension Building.

The BART training will allow first responders to better address the unique needs animals have during disasters.

The training is sponsored by the Johnson County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency in cooperation with Iowa City Animal Services, the Johnson County Agricultural Association and the Iowa State University Extension Office.
